The Kansas women have made the W-NIT field and start play tomorrow night, meeting Prairie View A & M at Allen Fieldhouse. 580 WIBW will bring you the action at 6:45. Thursday the KU men start their NCAA tournament run against Lehigh in Oklahoma City. Coverage of that one on 580 WIBW begins at 7:00.

Emporia State women 76 Northeastern State 45
The Hornets cruised into the NCAA Division II Elite Eight with a big win last night in the South Central Regional final in Canyon, Texas. Four ESU players scored in double figures with three getting 12 points each. Senior Cassondra Boston, who had 11, was named the regional MVP. The Hornets will play next week in St. Joseph, Missouri, against the winner of tonight's Drury-Michigan Tech game.

KC Royals 9 Chicago White Sox 1
The Zack Attack featured 17 hits to back Zack Greinke's solid four innings of pitching as the Royals belted the White Sox last night in Arizona. Yuniesky Betancourt and David DeJesus had three hits each and Scott Podsednik two for the Royals, who face Milwaukee this afternoon in Surprise. The Royals are 6-4-1 this spring.

The Bulldogs built a 10-0 lead and cruised in game one behind a complete game five hitter from Ryan Trimble but the Bods came back strong in game two with Thomas Holliday hitting a home run and driving in four runs to lead a 13 hit attack. Dane Simoneau had two hits and drove in two for Washburn. Brett Ash picked up the win, allowing just one run in seven innings. The Bods are now 8-4 both overall and in the MIAA. They host Rockhurst in their first non-conference action today with a doubleheader beginning at 1:30. That includes a make-up game from a postponement last month.

Kansas State has broken into the top 25 in one baseball poll. They're 24th in the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll after a four game sweep of Kent State over the weekend. The Wildcats, 13-2, host Creighton tonight at 6:30.

The KU Jayhawks, fresh from taking two out of three to then-top ranked LSU, stays down south to face Tulane in New Orleans tonight. Game time is 6:00. Monday Casey Lytle and Brett Bochy
